God granted Ottawa the first above freezing temperatures of the calendar year 2015. And he saw the people of Ottawa rejoice...and it was good. So it is written on the forecast, so it shall occur...we hope.
Currently 30F!!!!!

I just wore a jacket and a t-shirt today. It was rad. And a pretty nice day for photography, too.

Man. It got to 1. It was the best day...potentially of my life. This morning it was back down to -22C. Only one more month and a week of winter to go!!! We are getting there. :D

I honestly couldn't deal with that constantly, the coldest it's been here this winter was -2 for a day. it's been hovering between 5-12 since the beginning of feb. Moaning about the weather is a British institution but I'm not gonna complain, when you compare it to vast areas of North America it's much better, we haven't even had any meaningful snow in my area, maybe 30mm over a two week period, if I'm being generous.

-2 is not so bad. I could deal with -2 easily. From what I understand it likes to rain in the uk a lot. Here it has been brilliantly sunny a lot which makes me happy but as I mentioned still cold. Another month or so and we should start seeing consistent positive temps. By mid April all the snow will be gone for sure. :) one of the early french explorers of canada (Samuel de Champlain I think) reported back to his french overlords that canada was a few worthless acres of snows and ices. He was only wrong about the "few" part. It is many acres of snows and ices!
